Founded in 1999, NC Kayaks hand‑builds composite sea kayaks using proven designs shaped by decades of experience on the water. What NC Kayaks Does

Custom Touring Kayaks
NC Kayaks designs and builds composite touring kayaks for paddlers navigating Pacific Northwest conditions, including tidal currents, exposed crossings, and multi‑day routes. Each kayak is built by hand and tailored through direct consultation with the paddler.

Composite Repair Services
In addition to new builds, NC Kayaks provides fiberglass and composite repair services for sea kayaks and other paddlecraft, including recreational kayaks, rowboats, and paddle boards. Repairs are accepted selectively, based on alignment with the shop’s expertise and confidence in the outcome.

Upcycled & Creative Work
NC Kayaks also repurposes select composite scrap into small upcycled items, such as kayak ornaments, and produces limited graphic and printed items that reflect paddling culture and the shop’s personality. These projects are a side outlet and reflect the same attention to craft and materials as the company’s primary work.
