WA360 2025: Day Thirteen

Day 13 Goal Map:

The winds that kept us grounded most of this week persisted into the morning. We got our kayaks out of moorage so they wouldn’t be in the way for the CBC and bagged the buoy.

Waypoint three: ✅ (no selfie; the conditions were too windy and choppy for that).

From there, we headed to Marine park to wait for our weather window to materialize. As the hours ticked on, we updated our various weather forecasting apps and calculated how fast we would need to paddle in order to get to our next available campsite. The math kept getting worse.

At 2pm, we decided that it was time to turn in our paddles for this year’s WA360. We called our pick-up team and unloaded the boats. We hauled our boats and gear (with the help of loaner wheels from CBC) to Paws for a Beer to await our rescue crew from the comfort of a shaded picnic table with beer and food.

We enjoyed this year’s race, and we made every goal we set for ourselves. We are already looking forward to 2027!
